Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 138336-94-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,3,8,3,3 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 138336-94:
(8*1)+(7*3)+(6*8)+(5*3)+(4*3)+(3*6)+(2*9)+(1*4)=144
144 % 10 = 4
So 138336-94-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Dinuclear Double Helicates incorporating a 1,3-Phenylene Spacer; the Crystal and Molecular Structure of Diacetato-1κ2O-,2κ2O-bis2N,N':2κ2N'',N'''>dinickel Bis(hexafluorophosphate)

Constable, Edwin C.,Hannon, Michael J.,Tocher, Derek A.

, p. 1883 - 1890 (2007/10/02)

Linking two bipyridine units by a 1,3-phenylene spacer has provided a novel class of ligand which promotes the spontaneous self-assembly of double helicates upon reaction with transition-metal ions.Interaction with copper(I) or silver(I) resulted in dinuclear double-helical complexes with the metal ions occupying pseudo-tetrahedral co-ordination sites.Reaction with cobalt(II) or nickel(II) acetates gave similar dinuclear double-helical structures with a didentate acetate ligand completing the co-ordination sphere of each metal to give a pseudo-octahedral geometry. The crystal structure of 22(O2CMe)2>2 2 = 1,3-bis(4-meth ylthio-2,2'-bipyridin-6-yl)benzene> has been determined. The two metal centres are separated by 5.875 Angstroem. In contrast to the helicates formed by the linear oligopyridines, no significant ?-stacking interactions are observed between pyridine moieties on the helical strands.
