14165-55-0 Usage
Uses
It is a sol-gel intermediate for optical fibers and photosensitive.
Purification Methods
Distil it through a 10cm Vigreux column (p 11) under reduced pressure. Alternatively distil it through a Fenske glass helices (p 11) column fitted with a total condensation variable take-off stillhead. Fractionate it under reduced pressure using a reflux ratio of 10:1. Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 14165-55-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,4,1,6 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 14165-55:
(7*1)+(6*4)+(5*1)+(4*6)+(3*5)+(2*5)+(1*5)=90
90 % 10 = 0
So 14165-55-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
