Chemical Properties

White powder

Purification Methods

Crystallise the amide from EtOAc/Et2O, then from EtOH and Et2O. Also recrystallise it twice by dissolving ~2.5g in hot 200mL of toluene and cooling. It sublimes at ~170o , so its m is measured in a sealed tube. [Applewhite & Niemann J Am Chem Soc 81 2212 1959, Beilstein 4 IV 2500.]

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 19701-83-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,9,7,0 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 19701-83:
(7*1)+(6*9)+(5*7)+(4*0)+(3*1)+(2*8)+(1*3)=118
118 % 10 = 8
So 19701-83-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Application of C-Terminal 7-Azabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane to Stabilize β-Strand-like Extended Conformation of a Neighboring α-Amino Acid

Zhai, Luhan,Wang, Siyuan,Nara, Masayuki,Takeuchi, Koh,Shimada, Ichio,Otani, Yuko,Ohwada, Tomohiko

, p. 13063 - 13079 (2018)

β-Strands are formed by extended linear peptide chains that are usually paired to form β-sheet structure through interstrand hydrogen bonding. Linking a structured organic molecule with α-amino acid(s) can enforce or stabilize β-strand-like extended struc

PROCESS FOR STRAIGHTENING KERATIN FIBRES WITH A HEATING MEANS AND DENATURING AGENTS

-

, (2010/03/02)

The invention relates to a process for straightening keratin fibres, comprising: (i) a step in which a straightening composition containing at least two denaturing agents is applied to the keratin fibres, (ii) a step in which the temperature of the keratin fibres is raised, using a heating means, to a temperature of between 110 and 250° C.

Aqueous Solutions Containing Amino Acids and Peptides. Part 16. --Solute-Solute Interactions in Solutions Containing some N-Acetyl-N'-methylamino Acid Amides

Blackburn, G. Michael,Lilley, Terence H.,Milburn, Peter J.

, p. 2191 - 2206 (2007/10/02)

The energetics of the interactions occuring between some N-acetyl-N'-methylamino acid amides in aqueous solutions at 25 deg C have been investigated.Osmotic coefficients and enthalpies of dilution have been obtained for single-component and two-component
