Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 278168-69-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 2,7,8,1,6 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 278168-69:
(8*2)+(7*7)+(6*8)+(5*1)+(4*6)+(3*8)+(2*6)+(1*9)=187
187 % 10 = 7
So 278168-69-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Propargylation of CoQ0 through the Redox Chain Reaction

Pawlowski, Robert,Stodulski, MacIej,Mlynarski, Jacek

, p. 683 - 692 (2022/01/04)

An efficient catalytic propargylation of CoQ0 is described by employing the cooperative effect of Sc(OTf)3 and Hantzsch ester. It is suggested to work through the redox chain reaction, which involves hydroquinone and dimeric propargylic moiety intermediates. A broad range of propargylic alcohols can be converted into the appropriate derivatives of CoQ0 containing triple bonds in good to excellent yields. The mechanism of the given transformation is also discussed.

Straightforward Stereoselective Synthesis of Seven-Membered Oxa-Bridged Rings through in Situ Generated Cycloheptenol Derivatives

Wang, Mengdan,Yin, Liqiang,Cheng, Lu,Yang, Yajie,Li, Yanzhong

, p. 12956 - 12963 (2021/09/13)

An iodine-mediated stereoselective synthesis of seven-membered oxa-bridged rings via in situ generated cycloheptenols was reported. This process was realized through the combination of C-C σ-bond cleavage and C-O bond-forming reactions in a one-pot fashion from simple and easily accessible raw materials. The formation of carbon radicals initiated by I2 was the key to the reaction.

Photoinduced Gold-Catalyzed Domino C(sp) Arylation/Oxyarylation of TMS-Terminated Alkynols with Arenediazonium Salts

Alcaide, Benito,Almendros, Pedro,Busto, Eduardo,Lázaro-Milla, Carlos

, p. 2177 - 2186 (2017/02/26)

A selective and convenient synthesis of tri- and tetrasubstituted α,β-unsaturated ketones, as well as 2,3-diarylbenzofurans has been developed with the aid of light and taking advantage of a cooperative gold/photoredox-catalyzed 2-fold arylation reaction of TMS-terminated alkynols. The reaction of 3-(trimethylsilyl)prop-2-yn-1-ols was competent to generate diarylated α,β-unsaturated ketones; whereas the photoredox sequence involving 2-[(trimethylsilyl)ethynyl]phenol exclusively afforded 2,3-diarylbenzofurans. The reaction of terminal alkynes proceeded in poor yields while the use of bulkier silyl groups, such as TIPS, resulted unproductive. Apparently, the C(sp) arylation reaction is the first event on the domino bis-arylative sequence. These results could be explained through the intermediation of arylgold(III) species and several single electron transfer processes.

Synthesis of 2-Sulfenylindenones via One-Pot Tandem Meyer-Schuster Rearrangement and Radical Cyclization of Arylpropynols with Disulfides

Zhang, Xing-Song,Jiao, Jun-Ying,Zhang, Xiao-Hong,Hu, Bo-Lun,Zhang, Xing-Guo

, p. 5710 - 5716 (2016/07/13)

A tandem annulation of arylpropynols with disulfides has been developed for the synthesis of 2-sulfenylindenone derivatives. The reaction pathway involves one-pot tandem Meyer-Schuster rearrangement of arylpropynols and successive radical cyclization with disulfides. Various arylpropynols and disulfides with a number of functional groups are compatible in this reaction that affords the corresponding 2-sulfenylindenones in moderate to good yields.

Ultrasound-assisted synthesis of functionalized arylacetylenes

Stefani, Hélio A.,Cella, Rodrigo,D?rr, Felipe A.,De Pereira, Claudio M.P.,Gomes, Fábio P.,Zeni, Gilson

, p. 2001 - 2003 (2007/10/03)

A convenient and inexpensive ultrasound-assisted preparation of functionalized arylacetylenes using metallic lithium is reported.
