Diethyl imidocarbonate, also known as DEIC, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H11NO2. It is a colorless liquid that is soluble in water and serves as a reagent in organic synthesis. DEIC is commonly used for the protection of amines and alcohols, converting them into urethanes and carbonates, respectively. It is also employed as a coupling agent in the production of polyurethane foams and as a cross-linking agent in the synthesis of polymers. Due to its reactivity, DEIC is handled with care in laboratory settings and industrial applications.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 2812-77-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,8,1 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2812-77:
(6*2)+(5*8)+(4*1)+(3*2)+(2*7)+(1*7)=83
83 % 10 = 3
So 2812-77-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The first syntheses of asymmetrical esters of iminocarbonic acid are reported. These syntheses were carried out without the separation of intermediates.

Process for the preparation of N-cyanoimidocarbonates

-

, (2008/06/13)

The present invention provides a process for the preparation of N-cyanoimidocarbonates of the general formula: STR1 in which R1 and R2 are the same and are alkyl radicals containing up to 4 carbon atoms or R1 and R2 are joined together to give an ethylene or propylene chain which is optionally substituted by an alkyl radical containing up to 3 carbon atoms, wherein an imidocarbonate obtained in aqueous alkaline solution from the appropriate alcohol and cyanogen chloride is added with an acid to an aqueous solution of cyanamide in such a manner that the reaction mixture has a pH value of from 3 to 8.
