Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 29886-34-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 2,9,8,8 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 29886-34:
(7*2)+(6*9)+(5*8)+(4*8)+(3*6)+(2*3)+(1*4)=168
168 % 10 = 8
So 29886-34-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Design and synthesis of novel imidazoline derivatives with potent antihyperglycemic activity in a rat model of type 2 diabetes

Crane, Louis,Anastassiadou, Maria,Hage, Salome El,Stigliani, Jean Luc,Baziard-Mouysset, Genevieve,Payard, Marc,Leger, Jean Michel,Bizot-Espiard, Jean-Guy,Ktorza, Alain,Caignard, Daniel-Henri,Renard, Pierre

, p. 7419 - 7433 (2007/10/03)

Imidazoline derivatives have been reported to show antihyperglycemic activity in vivo. In the present study, we first showed that there was no correlation between the in vivo antidiabetic activity and the in vitro affinities for the I1/I2

Page/Page column 326, (2010/02/14)

The invention relates to acetyl 2-hydroxy-1,3-diaminospirocyclohexanes and derivatives thereof that are useful in treating at least one disease, disorder, and condition associated with amyloidosis. Amyloidosis refers to a collection of diseases, disorders, and condition associated with abnormal deposition of A-beta protein.

Directing Effects in Homogeneous Hydrogenation with PF6

Crabtree, Robert H.,Davis, Mark W.

, p. 2655 - 2661 (2007/10/02)

The presence of a ligating group, e.g., OH, CO2Me, C=O, or OMe, on an olefinic substrate is shown to direct the attack of the hydrogenation catalyst PF6/H2/CH2Cl2 from the face of the molecule containing the directing group.Isomerization is a minor side reaction in the cases studied. The origin of this effect is discussed and a model intermediate isolated.

STEREOCHEMICAL CONTROL BY CARBOXYLATE GROUPS IN HOMOGENEOUS HYDROGENATION

Brown, John M.,Hall, Stephen A.

, p. 333 - 342 (2007/10/02)

The stereochemistry of hydrogenation of a range of unsaturated cyclohexane-carboxylic acids and their esters has been investigated, employing either bis(1,4-diphenylphosphino)butanerhodium or pyridine(tricyclohexylphosphine)iridium based cationic catalysts in CH2Cl2.For methyl 3-methylcyclohex-2-enecarboxylate, highly selective reduction to the trans-product was achieved in both cases, whereas the isomeric methyl 3-methylenecyclohexanecarboxylate gave appreciable amounts of the cis-isomer.A predominance of trans-isomer was also achieved in the reduction of methyl 4-methylcyclohex-3-ene carboxylate, in a rather slower reaction.Reductions with D2 revealed that considerable isomerisation of the olefinic double bond occurred during hydrogenation. The corresponding unsaturated acids were reduced with moderate to high selectivity but reaction was either very slow, or ceased after a few turnovers.Related cyclohexadienecarboxylates were unreactive to homogeneous hydrogenation with cationic catalysts.
