Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3050-69-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,0,5 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3050-69:
(6*3)+(5*0)+(4*5)+(3*0)+(2*6)+(1*9)=59
59 % 10 = 9
So 3050-69-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Process for Preparing Vinyl Carboxylates

-

Page/Page column 6, (2009/01/24)

The present invention relates to a process for preparing vinyl carboxylates, wherein a carboxylic acid is reacted with an alkyne compound in the presence of a catalyst which is selected from carbonyl complexes, halides and oxides of rhenium, of manganese, of tungsten, of molybdenum, of chromium and of iron and rhenium metal at a temperature of ≦300° C. The process gives the desired vinyl esters with high yield.
