Dialkylaminoethanole 2 reagieren mit Chloracetaten 1 zu den N,N-Dialkyl-2-oxo-morpholinium-salzen 6.Es wird gezeigt, dass die Reaktion zweistufig und ueber die Ester 3-5 verlaeuft, welche zu den Salzen 6 cyclisieren.Das Zwischenprodukt 5a wurde isoliert, seine Struktur aufgeklaert und ein Reaktionsmechanismus vorgeschlagen. 2-Oxo-morpholiniumsalze 6 hydrolysieren in waessriger Loesung zu den entsprechenden Betainen 7.Der Hydrolysegrad wurde bestimmt.Die Betaine 7 koennen in umgekehrter Weise zu den 2-Oxo-morpholinium-Derivaten 6 cyclisieren.
