We report a highly enantioselective [3 + 2] annulation between 3-butynoates and β-trifluoromethyl enones, furnishing trifluoromethylated cyclopentenes with three contiguous stereogenic centers in good yields, high diastereoselectivities, and excellent enantioselectivities.
