3531-43-9 Usage

General Description

Tetraisobutyltin, also known as TIBT, is a chemical compound belonging to the organotin family. It is composed of four isobutyl groups attached to a central tin atom. TIBT is commonly used as a catalyst in the production of polyurethane foams and as a stabilizer for PVC (polyvinyl chloride) plastics. However, it has been found to be toxic to aquatic organisms, potentially causing harm to the environment and human health. Due to its hazardous nature, TIBT has been subject to regulatory restrictions and its use has been limited in some regions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3531-43-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,5,3 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3531-43:
(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*1)+(2*4)+(1*3)=69
69 % 10 = 9
So 3531-43-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
