In this paper, a detrifluoroacetylation of trifluoromethyl-β-diketones is described, which allows for the synthesis of succinimides and 1,4-diketones through cascade Michael addition/retro-Claisen reaction and nucleophilic substitution/retro-Claisen reaction.
