Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 37366-09-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,7,3,6 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 37366-09:
(7*3)+(6*7)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*6)+(2*0)+(1*9)=129
129 % 10 = 9
So 37366-09-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A convenient one-pot synthesis of a functionalized-arene ruthenium half-sandwich compound [RuCl2(η6-C6H 5OCH2CH2OH)]2

Soleimannejad, Janet,White, Colin

, p. 2538 - 2541 (2008/10/09)

Reaction of RuCl3·xH2O with 1-methoxy-1,4-cyclohexadiene in an alcohol solvent, ROH, gives [RuCl 2-(η6-C6H5OR)]2 (R = Me, Et, or HOCH2CH2) in up to 79% yield. The crystal structures of [Ru2(μ-Cl3)(η6-C 6H5-OEt)2]+[BPh4] - and [RuCl2(η6-C6H 5OCH2CH2OH)]2 are also reported.

STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISATION OF HYDROXO-BRIDGED ARENE-RUTHENIUM AND -OSMIUM COMPLEXES: FURTHER REACTIONS OF HYDROXO-BRIDGED COMPLEXES

Gould, R.O.,Jones, C.L.,Stephenson, T.A.,Tocher, D.A.

, p. 365 - 378 (2007/10/02)

Reaction of 2> with an excess of either aqueous NaOH or Na2CO3 followed by addition of Na gave two products, previously formulated as BPh4 (II) and BPh4*Me2CO (M = Ru (III), Os (IV)).X-ray structural analyses now reveal that the latter should be reformulated as the novel 2-OH)4(μ4-O)>(BPh4)2*2Me2CO tetramers containing a tetrahedrally coordinated O2- ion.In contrast, with substituted arenes the binuclear triple hydroxo-bridged cations of type III are formed asevidenced by the X-ray crystal structure determination of Cl*3H2O (V).Reactions of these various hydroxo-bridged complexes with HX (X = Cl, Br, I) gives either + and/or 2> whereas with CF3CO2H in the presence of arene', the dications 2+ are formed.

SYNTHESIS AND REACTIONS OF SOME TRIPLE ALKOXO- AND THIOATO-BRIDGED ARENERUTHENIUM(II) COMPLEXES. X-RAY STRUCTURE DETERMINATION OF

Gould, R. O.,Stephenson, T. A.,Tocher, D. A.

, p. 375 - 384 (2007/10/02)

Reaction of 2> (arene = C6H6, 1,4-MeC6H4CHMe2) with NaNH2 in CH3CN gives a dark oil which upon treatment with ROH/NaBPh4 (R = Me, Et) gives the triple bridged complexes (BPh4>.The structure of the benzene complex (R = Me) has been verified by X-ray analysis. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P21/n with a 11.725(4), b 15.573(5), c 18.739(2) Angstroem; β 103.29(2)deg.These complexes undergo reactions with tertiary phosphines and hydrogen halides. There is also spectroscopic evidence for intermolecular exchange of the bridging alkoxo ligands on mixing pure solutions of the + cations (M = Ru, Os).Reaction of 2> with Pb(SEt) 2 in CH3CN gives the analogous + cations.
