Tetraphenylmethane based tectons in dendrimer synthesis: Preparation and energy transfer properties of a dendritic stilbene-anthracene dyad
Sengupta, Saumitra,Pal, Nilasish
, p. 3517 - 3520 (2002)
A topologically new stilbene-anthracene dendrimer has been prepared using a highly branched tristilbenyl dendron derived from tetraphenylmethane. Steady-state photophysical studies on this dendrimer showed energy transfer from the peripheral stilbene unit
A stilbene dendrimer with caltrop-shaped dendrons: Synthesis and photophysical studies
Sengupta, Saumitra,Muhuri, Sanjukta
, p. 2895 - 2898 (2007/10/03)
A topologically new stilbene dendrimer is prepared using rigid caltrop-shaped dendrons derived from tetraphenylmethane. The dendrimer by virtue of its highly branched periphery, showed a strong emissive property with little excimer formation, even at the
Synthesis of Donor-Acceptor Substituted Molecular Caltrops: Strategic Use of an AB3 Synthon Based on a Tetraphenylmethane Core
Sengupta, Saumitra,Sadhukhan, Subir Kumar,Muhuri, Sanjukta
, p. 2329 - 2332 (2007/10/03)
Using a tetraphenylmethane based AB3 tecton, a facile synthetic route to donor-acceptor substituted unsymmetrical molecular caltrops is described. The former compound was readily prepared in two steps from the cheap commercial dye New Fuchsin.
