Benzyl [cyano-14C] cyanide is a radiolabeled chemical compound, where the cyano group is labeled with carbon-14, a radioactive isotope of carbon. benzyl [cyano-14C] cyanide is often used in biochemical research and tracer studies to track the movement and metabolism of cyanide in biological systems. The presence of the radioactive tag allows researchers to detect and measure the compound even in small quantities, providing valuable insights into its behavior within organisms. It is important to handle such compounds with care due to the radioactivity, and they are typically used in controlled laboratory settings with appropriate safety measures.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 4701-32-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 4,7,0 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 4701-32:
(6*4)+(5*7)+(4*0)+(3*1)+(2*3)+(1*2)=70
70 % 10 = 0
So 4701-32-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Preparation of Fentanyl Labeled with Carbon-14

Nami,Dabiri,Shirvani,Ahmadi Faghih,Javaheri

, p. 42 - 44 (2018/03/21)

A convenient synthetic pathway for 14C labeling of fentanyl [N-(1-phenethyl-4-piperidinyl)- propionanilide], a widely used narcotic analgesic agent, with good radiochemical yield was developed.

Buscopan labeled with carbon-14 and deuterium

Latli, Bachir,Stiasni, Michael,Hrapchak, Matt,Li, Zhibin,Grinberg, Nelu,Lee, Heewon,Busacca, Carl A.,Senanayake, Chris H.

, p. 557 - 564 (2016/11/23)

Hyosine butyl bromide, the active ingredient in Buscopan, is an anticholinergic and antimuscarinic drug used to treat pain and discomfort caused by abdominal cramps. A straightforward synthesis of carbon-14– and deuterium-labeled Buscopan was developed using scopolamine, n-butyl-1-14C bromide, and n-butyl-2H9 bromide, respectively. In a second carbon-14 synthesis, the radioactive carbon was incorporated in the tropic acid moiety to follow its metabolism. Herein, we describe the detailed preparations of carbon-14– and deuterium-labeled Buscopan.

Microwave-assisted synthesis of (RS) methyl-2-([2′- 14C]4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2′-yloxy)-2-phenyl [1- 14C]ethanoate

Mathew,Ravi,Unny,Sivaprasad

, p. 699 - 705 (2007/10/03)

We report here a facile synthesis of (RS) methyl-2-([2′- 14C]4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2′-yloxy)-2-phenyl [1- 14C]ethanoate under microwave irradiation. Copyright

A small-scale synthesis and enantiomeric resolution of (RS)-[1-14C]-2-phenylpropionic acid and biosynthesis of its diastereomeric acyl glucuronides

Shackleford, David M.,Hayball, Peter J.,Reynolds, Geoffrey D.,Hamon, David P. G.,Evans, Allan M.,Milne, Robert W.,Nation, Roger L.

, p. 225 - 234 (2007/10/03)

The 3 step synthesis for (RS)-[1-14C]-2-phenylpropionic acid having overall yield of 30% is reported. The enantiomers were separated to an optical purity of 95 % (90 % ee) by semi-preparative chiral HPLC using an αI-acid glycoprotein-based column (which has not previously been reported for this separation). Subsequently, the diastereomeric acyl glucuronides of (R)- and (S)-[1-14C]-2-phenylpropionic acid were biosynthesised using a recirculating-mode isolated perfused rat liver preparation. The procedure for purification of the glucuronides by semi-preparative HPLC was optimised to ensure the biosynthetic products did not undergo degradation via acyl migration or hydrolysis.

EXHCHANGE BETWEEN LABELLED CYANIDE AND THE NITRILE FUNCTION OF ACETONITRILE

Jay, Michael,Layton, W. John,Digenis, George A.

, p. 2621 - 2624 (2007/10/02)

Labelled potassium cyanide, dissolved in acetonitrile with the aid of a crown ether, exchanges with the nitrile function of the solvent resulting in labelled acetonitrile.
