Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 5236-60-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,2,3 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5236-60:
(6*5)+(5*2)+(4*3)+(3*6)+(2*6)+(1*0)=82
82 % 10 = 2
So 5236-60-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of 4-thiouracil KPGEPGPK analogues as potential TIIICBP identification tools

Pires, Viviane Silva,Da Nascimento, Sophie,Sonnet, Pascal

experimental part, p. 257 - 266 (2011/10/09)

In this paper, we described the synthesis of three octapeptides analogues which are obtained by the incorporation of photochemical 4-thiouracil (s 4U) probes selectively activables. This probe has been incorporated at the 1 and/or 3 positions in KPGEPGPK sequence since it has been demonstrated that those positions could be mutated without major anti-thrombotic activity modifications. These analogues could be used to identify a new receptor for type III collagen named Type III Collagen Binding Protein (TIIICBP).
