In this communication, a Cu-catalyzed borocarbonylative coupling of unactivated alkenes with alkyl halides for the synthesis of β-boryl ketones has been developed. A broad range of β-boryl ketone derivatives was prepared in moderate to excellent yields with complete regioselectivity.
