α-Trifluoromethyl β-bromo enol ethers 3 can be stereoselectively obtained through a sequential bromination-dehydrobromination of enol ethers 1. Bromine-lithium exchange, followed by subsequent trapping with electrophiles gives access to new functionalized CF3-enol ethers.
