Dimethyl dimethylphosphoramidate, also known as DMMP, is an organophosphorus compound with the chemical formula (CH3O)2P(O)NH2. It is a colorless, oily liquid with a pungent odor and is used as a simulant for the nerve agent sarin in military training exercises. DMMP is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which is responsible for breaking down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the nervous system. This inhibition can lead to overstimulation of the nervous system, causing symptoms such as muscle twitching, seizures, and respiratory failure. Due to its toxicity and potential use in chemical warfare, DMMP is classified as a Schedule 3 chemical weapon precursor under the Chemical Weapons Convention.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 597-07-9 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,9 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 597-07:
(5*5)+(4*9)+(3*7)+(2*0)+(1*7)=89
89 % 10 = 9
So 597-07-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

ON THE REACTION OF BENZOTHIAZOL-2-YL SULPHENAMIDES WITH PHOSPHITES

Brownbridge, P.,Jowett, I. C.

, p. 311 - 318 (2007/10/02)

A study of the synthesis of phosphoramidates from phosphites and benzothiazol-2-yl-sulphenamides, indicates that a quinquecovalent phosphorane is an intermediate.Since the initial step in this reaction does not involve attack of phosphorus on nitrogen, it is unlikely that these sulphenamides will act as electrophilic aminating agents towards non-phosphorus nucleophiles. An efficient new method for preparing benzothiazol-2-yl-sulphenamides is reported.
