Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6291-62-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,2,9 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6291-62:
(6*6)+(5*2)+(4*9)+(3*1)+(2*6)+(1*2)=99
99 % 10 = 9
So 6291-62-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Michael addition reaction of thioacetic acid (AcSH) to conjugated alkenes under solvent- and catalyst-free conditions
Sobhani, Sara,Rezazadeh, Soodabeh
experimental part, p. 2076 - 2084 (2010/12/19)
A new and convenient procedure has been developed for the Michael addition reaction of thioacetic acid (AcSH) to a variety of conjugated alkenes under solvent- and catalyst-free conditions. These reactions proceeded in 5-60 min and produced the desired products in good to high yields. Copyright Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
