Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 66194-68-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,6,1,9 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 66194-68:
(7*6)+(6*6)+(5*1)+(4*9)+(3*4)+(2*6)+(1*8)=151
151 % 10 = 1
So 66194-68-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Nickel-Catalyzed Enantioconvergent Reductive Hydroalkylation of Olefins with α-Heteroatom Phosphorus or Sulfur Alkyl Electrophiles

Fu, Yao,He, Shi-Jiang,Li, Yan,Lu, Xi,Wang, Jia-Wang,Wang, Xiao-Xu,Xu, Zhe-Yuan

supporting information, (2020/01/22)

Substantial advances in enantioconvergent C(sp3)-C(sp3) bond formation reactions have been made in recent years through the use of transition-metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of racemic secondary alkyl electrophiles with organometallic reagents. Herein, we report a general process for the asymmetric construction of alkyl-alkyl bonds adjacent to heteroatoms, namely, a nickel-catalyzed enantioconvergent reductive hydroalkylation of olefins with α-heteroatom phosphorus or sulfur alkyl electrophiles. Including the use of readily available olefins, this reaction has considerable advantages, such as mild reaction conditions, a broad substrate scope, and good functional group compatibility, making it a desirable alternative to traditional electrophile-nucleophile cross-coupling reactions.

Preparation of Enantioenriched Alkylcarbastannatranes via Nucleophilic Inversion of Alkyl Mesylates for Use in Stereospecific Cross-Coupling Reactions

Ralph, Glenn,Biscoe, Mark R.

supporting information, p. 3912 - 3915 (2019/10/02)

We report the preparation of enantioenriched secondary alkylcarbastannatranes via a stereoinvertive SN2 reaction of enantioenriched alkyl mesylates and carbastannatranyl anion equivalents. Using this process, enantioenriched secondary alcohols may be converted into highly enantioenriched alkylcarbastannatranes, which are useful in stereospecific cross-coupling reactions.

Salts of Mosher's thioacid: agents for determining the enantiomer excess of SN2 substrates

Richman, Jack E.

supporting information; experimental part, p. 2793 - 2796 (2010/07/06)

The racemic and the (S)-enantiomer of Mosher's thioacid, 2-methoxy-2-trifluoromethylphenylacetic thioacid, form air-stable salts with Proton Sponge [1,8-bis(dimethylamino)naphthalene]. These salts are powerful nucleophiles that react cleanly (SN2 inversion) in CDCl3 with optically active alkyl halides ranging in reactivities from unactivated alkyl bromides and iodides to benzylic bromides. The diastereomeric excess (de) of the thioester products indicates the enantiomeric excess (ee) of the starting alkyl halides.

Microwave michaelis-becker synthesis of diethyl phosphonates, tetraethyl diphosphonates, and their total or partial dealkylation

Meziane, Dalila,Hardouin, Julie,Elias, Abdelhamid,Guenin, Erwann,Lecouvey, Marc

scheme or table, p. 369 - 377 (2010/07/16)

Diethyl phosphonates and tetraethyl alkyldiphosphonates were efficiently and rapidly prepared via the Michaelis-Becker reaction, under microwave irradiation. These compounds were then hydrolyzed to phosphonic and diphosphonic acids or selectively monodealkylated to give monoesters of phosphonic acids and symmetrical diethyl esters of diphosphonic acids. These reactions were also achieved rapidly in satisfactory yields with microwave methodology. This methodology was applied with success to the functionalization of a polymer resin.
