Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6780-64-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,7,8 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6780-64:
(6*6)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*0)+(2*6)+(1*4)=119
119 % 10 = 9
So 6780-64-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Domino aryne precursor: Efficient construction of 2,4-disubstituted benzothiazoles

Shi, Jiarong,Qiu, Dachuan,Wang, Juan,Xu, Hai,Li, Yang

supporting information, p. 5670 - 5673 (2015/05/20)

An aryne precursor with a potential to perform domino aryne chemistry was proposed and synthesized. The reaction of this reagent with benzothioamide derivatives could afford 2,4-disubstituted benzothiazole with sequential incorporation of C-S, C-N, and C-C bonds on the consecutive three positions of the aryne precursor.

Mild Acetylation of Amides, Thiamides, Ureas, and Thioureas Using Methyl Bis(1-naphthyl)bismuthinate in Acetic Acid

Ogawa, Takuji,Miyazaki, Kikuko,Suzuki, Hitomi

, p. 1651 - 1654 (2007/10/02)

Amides, thioamides, ureas, and thioureas were N-acetylated in good yield with acetic acid in the presence of methyl bis(1-naphthyl)bismuthinate at room tempereature.
