The stoichiometry of the latter was established by determination of the reactant ratio and by nucleophilic degradation affording TiBr4·N(CH3)3 and [(CH3)2N]2BBr. A structure is proposed for {[(CH3)2N]2BBr}2{TiBr 4}3 based on infrared assignments and the unusual stoichiometry of this compound.
