Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 7258-52-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,2,5 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7258-52:
(6*7)+(5*2)+(4*5)+(3*8)+(2*5)+(1*2)=108
108 % 10 = 8
So 7258-52-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A new short synthetic approach to cyclopentaphenanthrenones
Gacs-Baitz, Eszter,Minuti, Lucio,Taticchi, Aldo
, p. 10359 - 10366 (2007/10/02)
The Diels-Alder reactions of 4-acetoxy-2-cyclopenten-1-one and 2-bromo-4- acetoxy-2-cyclopenten-1-one with vinylarenes are discussed. The aromatization of the reaction products opens a new two-step route for the synthesis of cyclopentaphenanthrenones. Structure analysis of reaction products by 1H and 13C-NMR spectroscopy is reported.
