Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 92964-93-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,2,9,6 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 92964-93:
(7*9)+(6*2)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*4)+(2*9)+(1*3)=177
177 % 10 = 7
So 92964-93-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Quantum Dot-Catalyzed Photoreductive Removal of Sulfonyl-Based Protecting Groups

Perez, Kaitlyn A.,Rogers, Cameron R.,Weiss, Emily A.

supporting information, p. 14091 - 14095 (2020/06/08)

This Communication describes the use of CuInS2/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) as photocatalysts for the reductive deprotection of aryl sulfonyl-protected phenols. For a series of aryl sulfonates with electron-withdrawing substituents, the rate of deprotection for the corresponding phenyl aryl sulfonates increases with decreasing electrochemical potential for the two electron transfers within the catalytic cycle. The rate of deprotection for a substrate that contains a carboxylic acid, a known QD-binding group, is accelerated by more than a factor of ten from that expected from the electrochemical potential for the transformation, a result that suggests that formation of metastable electron donor–acceptor complexes provides a significant kinetic advantage. This deprotection method does not perturb the common NHBoc or toluenesulfonyl protecting groups and, as demonstrated with an estrone substrate, does not perturb proximate ketones, which are generally vulnerable to many chemical reduction methods used for this class of reactions.

Pd-Catalyzed Conversion of Aryl Iodides to Sulfonyl Fluorides Using SO2 Surrogate DABSO and Selectfluor

Tribby, Ariana L.,Rodríguez, Ismeraí,Shariffudin, Shamira,Ball, Nicholas D.

, p. 2294 - 2299 (2017/02/26)

A one-pot Pd-catalyzed conversion of aryl iodide to aryl sulfonyl fluorides using DABSO and Selectfluor has been developed generating aryl sulfonyl fluorides in good to excellent yields. The reaction results in the generation of electronically and sterically diverse sulfonyl fluorides. Additionally, sulfonyl fluorides can be converted to aryl sulfonamides and sulfonic esters using Cs2CO3 under mild conditions.

Photochemical cleavage reactions of 8-quinolinyl sulfonates in aqueous solution

Kageyama, Yoshiyuki,Ohshima, Ryosuke,Sakurama, Kazusa,Fujiwara, Yoshihisa,Tanimoto, Yoshifumi,Yamada, Yasuyuki,Aoki, Shin

experimental part, p. 1257 - 1266 (2010/05/02)

Photochemical cleavage reactions of 8-quinolinyl benzenesulfonate derivatives and related sulfonates in aqueous solutions are reported. The 8-quinolinyl benzenesulfonates undergo photolysis upon photoirradiation at 300-330 nm to give the corresponding 8-quinolinols and benzenesulfonic acids with the production of only negligible amounts of byproducts. The effects of substituent groups of the 8-quinolinyl moiety and the benzene ring on the photolysis reactions were examined. Based on steady-state mechanistic studies using a triplet sensitizer, a triplet quencher, and electron donors, it was suggested that the photolysis proceeds mainly via the homolytic cleavage of S-O bonds in the excited triplet state.
