Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 96517-64-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 9,6,5,1 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 96517-64:
(7*9)+(6*6)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*7)+(2*6)+(1*4)=165
165 % 10 = 5
So 96517-64-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Compounds of formula (I) are also provided.

Synthesis of novel heterocyclic compounds for antitumor and radioprotective activities

Ghorab,Hassan,Nassar

, p. 447 - 462 (2007/10/03)

Some novel pyridothienoxazine (5); pyridothienopyrimidines (6), (8), (9), (14); pyridothienoimidazole (16); isothiazolopyridine (17), and pyridoisothiazolopyrimidines (18-20) were synthesized. The structural assignment of the prepared compounds were based on microanalytical and spectroscopic evidences. Some prepared compounds were tested in vitro for their antitumor and radioprotective activities. Compounds (7), (12), (17) and (19) showed significant activities against EAC cells, at a concentration of 250μg/ml; while the isothiazolopyridine (17) exhibited radioprotective activity.

Synthesis of N-(2-carboxy-thieno[2,3-b]pyridine-3-yl)-formamidines and corresponding alkyl esters with antianaphylactic activity

Wagner,Vieweg,Prantz,Leistner

, p. 185 - 188 (2007/10/02)

A lot of N-(2-carboxy-thieno[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl)formamidines especially in form of their amine salts - were synthesized by reaction of 3-amino-thieno[2,3-b]pyridine-2-carboxylic acids with dimethylformamide/phosphoroxide chloride or by reaction of 4-oxo-4 H-pyrido[3',2':4,5]thieno[3,2-d]1,3-oxazines with amines. Carboxylic acid alkylesters of this structure were yielded from 3-amino-thieno[2,3-b]pyridine-2-carbonic acid alkylesters by reaction with dimethylformamide/phosphoroxide chloride or with N-formyl-piperidine or N-formyl-morpholine and phosphoroxide chloride. The compounds showed antianaphylactic activity.
