Uses
1,3-Dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone (CAS NO.80-73-9) is used as an aprotic solvent. It is also used in a variety of applications including detergents, dyestuffs, electronic materials and in the manufacture of polymers. In many applications, it is a suitable replacement for the carcinogenic solvent HMPA.
