    A sensitive skin is a thin or a fine-textured skin. It reacts quickly to both heat and cold. As a result, it sunburns and windburns easily. It is commonly dry and prone to allergic reactions. A lot of factors both internal and external can cause irritation of the skin, such as temperature changes, some detergents, cosmetics and alcohol used on the skin, leaving the skin red and blotchy.

    First and foremost, select the most suitable cosmetics for sensitive skin. Choose products that do not contain alcohol and potential allergens such as fragrance or PABA(Para-Aminobenzoic Acid) sunscreens. For people with sensitive skins, it is better to use sunscreen lotions or creams. Wash your face with mild baby soap, rinse thoroughly and pat the skin dry with a soft towel; do not use rough towel. Never use any makeup or perfume without first trying a little of it on the inside of your wrist to see the reaction of your skin to it, for very few items of makeup agree with a sensitive skin. Every night try to apply home-made moisturizing cream on your face before retiring for the night.

    Secondly, daily diet is also very important. There are some food you should keep far away from, no matter how delicious they are. For example, barbecue is the biggest enemy for sensitive skins. It might cause hydropenia of the skin, and then bring serious problems to your skin. What's more, try your best to eat less fried and spicy food, wine, coffee, chocolate, and so on. Of course, if you can totally give up all of them, it will be better.

    Last but not the least, pay attention to your life habits. For people with sensitive skins, it is better to use warm and running water when washing face. Do not wash face at the same time when you have a bath. As the bath water is too hot, it is not suitable for sensitive skin. In addition, keep regular living and working routines, do not stay up at night, and always have a happy mood.

    In a word, if you can follow the above suggestions and pay more attention to the selection of cosmetics and daily diet, and keep good life habits, there might be some improvement of your sensitive skins.
