Sodium permanganate Specification

The Sodium permanganate , with the CAS register number 10101-50-5, is also known to us as permanganatedesodium ; permanganatedesodium(french) ; permanganatosodico ; permanganicacid(hmno4),sodiumsalt ; permanganicacid,sodiumsalt ; sodiumpermanganate(namno4) ; sodium permanganate .

Some characteristics of this chemical are below:(1)#H bond acceptors:  4 ; (2) Polar Surface Area:  71.44 ; (3) #H bond donors:  1 . It is a kind of purple crystallize or powder and is Soluble in water, ethanol,diethyl [ethyl] ether
and also soluble in liquid ammonia . Its product categories are Metal and ceramic Science, oxidation; Salts; Sodium Salts; Synthetic Reagents; Ck. Besides, it is hygroscopic, so you should keep it in the dry place, away from the moisture.

As for its usage, it is often used as the oxidant, antiseptic, deodorant, fungicide, disinfectant and morphine and phosphorus antidote. Besides, it could also be used as the substitute of potassium permanganate,oxidizing agent for toluenemethod saccharin production and also be used in the fining of o-toluene sulfonamide and the treatment technology of waste water containing phenols .

Beside, it is a kind of dangerous chemical. Being an oxidising chemical, it may react exothermically with other chemicals and it could even destroy living tissue on contact.
