Ammonium tetrachloroplatinate Specification

The IUPAC name of Platinum(II)-ammonium chloride is diazanium tetrachloroplatinum(2-). With the CAS registry number 13820-41-2 and EINECS 237-499-1, it is also named as Ammonium platinous chloride. It is light brown orange to red crystalline powder which is highly toxic. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NH3, Cl, and Pt. So the storage environment should be well-ventilated, low-temperature and dry.
