The Red Sun Group Corporation was founded in 1989. It is China's largest enterprise in the agricultural life science area and also ranks in the world's top 15. The corporation integrates both the upstream process and downstream process links to the commodity chain, following all the sequences from raw materials through intermediate products to the final products, thus providing flexibility for consumers.

Red Sun has been awarded by the government as a "new and hi-tech state-owned enterprise", a member in the advanced group of the Spark Program, a major supported enterprise of the nation's debt project, among many other honors. At the moment the "Red Sun" brand has extended to 43 large families. The corporation's market network covers 82 countries in the five continents and 2,098 domestic areas in the 28 provinces. In 2006, the “Red Sun” brand was assessed as "China's well-known trademark", "Most Competitive Brand", and "Famous Export Brand". Also, two major series of Red Sun's green pesticides, Imidacloprids and pyrethroids, were awarded as part of the first group of "China's Name Brand".
