The complex C6H6(=C=CHPh)(PPrⁱ3) has been prepared from 2 via alkynyl(iodo)-, vinyl(hydrido)-, and vinyl(halogeno)-osmium compounds as precursors; it reacts with sulphur, selenium, and CuCl by electrophilic addition to the Os=C bond.
