The reactions of the sodium salt of 4 with imidoyl chlorides 5 give the olefins 7 via the expected Hetero-Claisen rearrangement.However 2,5-disubstituted hydroxamic acids 8 behave differently.In the reactions with 5b, products of a m-rearrangement are observed.
