Several oxaphosphabicyclic compounds were synthesized by the reaction of methyl dihalophosphane under various conditions with 1,6-diketones and βγ-unsaturated ketones.The structure of one of the new compounds (11) was established by X-ray diffraction analysis.The (1)H- and (13)-C-NMR spectra of the new compounds, which, except for 11, served for their structure elucidation, are discussed.
