A new sesquiterpenoid, 15-copaenol, and the known compounds (-)-trans-calamenene, (+)-δ-cadinene, (-)-caryophyllene-4,5-epoxide, (-)-humulene-1,2-epoxide, (-)-cubenol, (-)-epicubenol and (-)-torreyol has been isolated from the heartwood of Pilgerodendron uvifera.The structures of the new and the known compounds were established by spectroscopic methods.Key Word Index: Pilgerodendron uvifera; Cupressaceae; sesquiterpenoids; 15-copaenol.
