The syntheses of [(CH2CR1CH2CH2NR2R 3)RhClL complexes (R1 = CH3, H, R2 = n-Bu, R3 = H; R1 = CH3, H, R2 = R3 = CH3, L = CO or dimer; 19-32 and 38-43) are reported. The complexes are prepared by the reaction of unsaturated amines with bis(μ-chloro)tetracarbonyldirhodium(I) (3) or bis(μ-chloro)-tetrakis(ethylene)dirhodium(I) (4) at ambient temperature. Compound 19, [N-(trans-3-pentenyl)n-butylamine]carbonylrhodium(I) chloride, crystallized in the monoclinic space group P21/c with cell dimensions a = 17.699 (5), b = 8.442 (1), and c = 20.119 (5) A?, and β = 120.19 (2)°.
