The reaction of pentafluorobenzene with CCl4 in the presence of AlCl3 gives p-chloro-o,o,m,m-tetrafluorotrichloromethylbenzene as the major product along with pentafluorotrichloromethylbenzene and bis(p-chlorotetrafluorophenyl)dichloromethane.
