quinoxalinoporphyrins (Zn-4, Zn-5 and Zn-6)
To a solution of meso-substituted quinoxalinoporphyrins
(0.025 mmol) in dichloromethane (10 mL), a solution of
Zn(OAc)2ꢀ2H2O (0.05 mmol) in methanol (0.5 mL) was added.
The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for
20–30 min. After completion of the reaction, the reaction
mixture was washed thoroughly with water. The organic layer
was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and evaporated to
dryness. The crude product was purified by column chromato-
graphy over silica gel by eluting with chloroform.
5-(Aceanthryleno[1,2-b]quinoxalin-12-yl)-10,15,20-triphenyl-
porphyrin (5). Yield: 78%; found: C, 83.64; H, 4.23; N, 9.69%.
