epoxide was already enantioenriched (94:8 er, 47% conv.), but only a
15% yield of thiirane was formed at this time. In addition, the initial
opening intermediate B could be trapped by isocyanate and its
enantiopurity was measured to be 96.5:3.5 er, in good agreement with
