A Bis(2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenolato)samarium(II) Complex, .thf

The title complex, bis(2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenolato-O)tris(tetrahydrofuran-O)samarium tetrahydrofuran solvate, .C4H8O, has distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry around the Sm^II atom.The O(2), O(3) and O(4) atoms of the thf ligands form a plane and the O(1) and O(5) atoms of the aryl groups occupy the apical sites.The Sm--OAr distances Sm--O(1) and Sm--O(5) are 2.318(7) and 2.290(9) Angstroem, respectively.
