The reaction of 5-amino-1,3-diphenylpyrazole with benzaldehyde gives 5-benzylideneamino-1,3-diphenylpyrazole, wich then undergoes cyclization with mercaptoacetic acid to give 1,3,4-triphenyl-1H-pyrazolo<3,4-e>thiazepin-7-one.
