3-Chloro-3-(1H,1H-pentadecafluorooctoxy)diazirine (7a) and 3,3-bis(1H,1H-pentadecafluorooctoxy)diazirine (8) have been prepared via several steps from 1H,1H-pentadecafluorooctanol (3).Photolysis or thermolysis of these diazirines generated the corresponding carbenes (1 or 2), which underwent intermolecular reactions with HCl, alcohol 3 and acrylonitrile. - Keywords: (Polyfluoroalkyl)oxacarbenes; Diazirine; Photolysis; Thermolysis; NMR spectroscopy
