From the essential oil of Santolina oblongifolia, three new dihydrofurane sesquiterpenoids, related to nerolidol, and a bicyclic sesquiterpene, named α-oplopenone, have been isolated.Their structures and stereochemistry have been assigned by spectroscopic methods.--Key Word Index--Santolina oblongifolia; Compositae; nerolidol derivatives; α-oplopenone.
