Stability studies of a series of complexes, 3-CH2CMeCH2)(PPh3)(CH2=CHC6H4Y-p)>PF6 in CDCl3 revealed a linear free energy relationship for substituted styrene complexes of Pt^II. 1H and 13C NMR spectral data have been examined in terms of the structure and bonding of these complexes.
