size of the nano-scale dots can be important in terms of catalysis
and sensor capabilities. Numerous reports have been published
addressing this important issue.17 Finding a way to control the
nano-sized structure of the electro-polymerized films (possibly
through electrochemical methods) and the impact of the nano-
structure on the catalysis and sensor capabilities would be an
interesting subject to study in the future.

10 “≈10 X ꢀ−1” represents the sheet resistance of the plate, this can
be very roughly considered as the resistance of the plate being ≈20
X cm−1. The resistivity of the ITO plate is 1.6 × 10−4 X cm.

14 These films were generated on the ITO surfaces for UV-Visible,
SEM/EDS and AFM studies. The resistance of the ITO plate is
higher than that of the Pt electrodes, resulting in more positve oxi-
dation potentials and more negative reduction potentials. However,
we found that the same anodic scanning ranges (as in Fig. 2) were
sufficient to generate the AEBPP films.
