Isolation of a new piperidine alkaloid and 2',4',6',4-tetramethoxychalchone from Excoecharia agallocha is reported.The structure 2,4-dimethoxy-3-ψ,ψ-dimethylallyl-trans-cinnamoylpiperidide assigned to the alkaloid was confirmed through synthesis. - Key Word Index - Excoecharia agallocha; Euphorbiaceae; 2,4-dimethoxy-3-ψ,ψ-dimethylallyl-trans-cinnamoyl-piperidide; 2',4',6',4-tetramethoxychalchone.
