High diastereoselection and complete transfer of chirality is observed in the <2,3> Wittig rearrangements of optically active allyl (Z)-2-methylhex-4-en-3-yl ether.The acyclic stereoselection in the <2,3> Wittig rearrangement of other (E)- and (Z)-allylic ethers is also examined.
