17 The 1,4-disubstitution in the triazole ring of the first cycloadduct 3
was easily assigned by the lower field resonance (d = 7.6 ppm) of its
proton in comparison to that of the proton (d = 7.1 ppm) of the 1,5-
regioisomer prepared by a thermal, uncatalyzedcycloaddition (see ref.
10b). In addition, the 13C NMR spectra provided D(dC4–dC5) values of
ca. 20 ppm for 3 and −6 ppm for the 1,5-regioisomer (see ref. 18).
