Reinvestigation of the structure of PdS.

The crystal structure of synthetic PdS (vysotskite) is described with greater precision (cell dimensions a 6.429(2), c 6.611(2) A, space group P4₂/m, Z = 8). The square planar coordination of the Pd atoms is more regular than previously reported (M.A. 7-81) and is compared with that in braggite (M.A. 74-948).-J.E.C.
