Poly(p-<α-(N-t-butylnitronyl)>styrene) (polyPBN) has been prepared by using p-chlorostyrene as a starting material.The reaction of polyPBN with nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and its efficiency for radical trapping were studied.The stability of NO2 adduct of polyPBN and operational simplicity to recover polyPBN showed that polyPBN is applicable to the removal of NO2 in atmosphere.
