Selective synthesis of new ω-phtalimidoalkyl (meth)acrylic esters

The selective synthesis of ω-phtalimidoalkyl meth(acrylic) esters was obtained in 71 to 81% yields under phase transfer catalysis from corresponding bromalkyl (meth)acrylates and potassium pthalimide. Chloro-derivatives gave the same products in the presence of catalytic amounts of potassium iodide.
